6 Youth from the Turkish Cypriot community and 6 Youth form the Greek Cypriot community came along and formed the ECFOLI Youth Team Cyprus, separated by a conflict of a divided island for over 40 years. The Youth coming from Karpaz, Famagusta, Nicosia and Paphos adopted and transformed element of their common cultural heritage: a street in the old town of Nicosia, divided by the buffer zone: Ermou Street. The street runs along the ‘Green Line’ a UN controlled buffer zone where one last part comes into the southern section of the city. The youth participated to a series of workshops based in the buffer zone where they have explored several MIL components as digital identity, e presence and digital storytelling tools. They have studied Ermou street and came up with a scenario and shot a small fictional story set in the conflict that divides them physically. This was created and produced by the whole team.
